The fund's explanation was difficult to follow and she was unsatisfied with the response to her initial written complaint.

Our Approach

We reviewed the full contribution history, identified a three-year period during which the reported contribution rate differed from the rate in her employment contract, and submitted a formal appeal with supporting documentation. The appeal included two rounds of correspondence over four months.

The Outcome

The fund acknowledged the discrepancy and issued a corrected payment of the shortfall. The client received a sum that was approximately 18% higher than the original payment. She was kept informed at each stage and received a full closing report on conclusion.

Expatriate Provident Fund Access

The Situation

A foreign national who had worked in Thailand for 11 years was preparing to return to his home country. He had contributions in a company provident fund but was uncertain about the process for accessing them on departure and which authority to contact first.

Our Approach

We identified the correct fund contact, prepared all required documentation including certified translations of relevant personal records, and submitted the access request. We followed up with the fund and his former employer's HR department as needed.

The Outcome

The matter was resolved within seven weeks. The full accumulated amount, including employer contributions, was released without further dispute. The client departed Thailand shortly after with the matter fully concluded.

Survivor Benefit Enquiry After Bereavement

The Situation

We began with the Welcome Review, confirmed her entitlement, and then proceeded — at her request and her pace — to the Query Handling service to submit the survivor benefit claim with all required documentation on her behalf.

The Outcome

The claim was processed and her monthly benefit commenced as entitled under the Social Security Act. The process required two rounds of document supplementation, which we managed without burdening her with further paperwork requests.
