A Legal Office Built Around the Person, Not the Case
We believe legal help should feel like help — not a process to endure. For over a decade, Mongkol Law has worked with individuals in Bangkok and across Thailand who needed steady, thoughtful support on pension matters.
Return to HomeHow Mongkol Law Came to Be
Mongkol Law was established in Bangkok in 2011 by Khun Somchai Mongkol, a solicitor who had spent years in broader civil practice before he noticed a consistent gap: individuals with pension questions — retirees, long-service workers, foreign nationals employed in Thailand — struggled to get clear, patient answers from the institutions holding their funds.
The office opened on Phaya Thai Road with a single focus: pension matters, handled with care. No one should need to wade through dense legal correspondence on their own, particularly when the subject directly concerns their financial security in later life.
In the years since, Mongkol Law has supported hundreds of clients through pension reviews, fund queries, and formal disputes. The team has remained small by intention — small enough that each client is known, not numbered.
Our mission has not changed: to sit with a person, understand their situation, and manage the legal side so that they can hold onto clarity rather than anxiety.
Our Values
-
Patience We do not rush. Legal matters — especially pension matters — deserve unhurried attention.
-
Transparency Fees are explained upfront. Progress is reported in plain language. Nothing is concealed or glossed over.
-
Personal Care Every client is a person with a real situation, not a file to be processed. We remember this in every interaction.
-
Clear Communication Legal language is translated into terms you can act on. Written summaries follow every significant step.

How We Work
Every file at Mongkol Law follows the same protocols — not because it is required, but because we believe it is the right way to practice.
Licensed Legal Practice
All legal work is carried out by or under the supervision of a licensed solicitor registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Your matter is always in qualified hands.
Strict Client Confidentiality
All information shared with us is held under professional secrecy. Files are stored securely, access is restricted, and nothing is shared outside the scope of your matter.
Clear Fee Agreements
Before any work begins, you receive a written summary of what is included and what it costs. No additional charges arise without a prior conversation and your agreement.
Regular Progress Updates
We report on progress at each meaningful stage — not only when something significant happens. You will not need to chase us for information.
Continuing Professional Development
The team regularly reviews changes to Thai pension regulation and fund procedures. Our understanding of the relevant landscape is kept current, not left to date.
Thorough Written Records
All advice, correspondence, and findings are recorded in writing. At the end of each matter, you receive a closing summary that remains yours as a permanent record.
Pension Law in Thailand — What We Know and How We Help
Thai pension arrangements are governed through several overlapping frameworks: the Social Security Fund, government pension schemes, provident funds registered under the Provident Fund Act, and individual retirement savings structures. Each has distinct eligibility criteria, appeal routes, and authority contacts. Navigating them without legal support can be slow and confusing.
At Mongkol Law, we work specifically within this area. We understand how Thai pension funds process claims, which authorities handle which types of queries, and how formal appeals are structured. This focus means we are not learning the territory from scratch with each new matter — we bring familiarity built through fourteen years of consistent practice.
Clients come to us with a range of concerns: a benefit calculated lower than expected, a claim left unresolved for months, an appeal after a fund decision, or simply uncertainty about what they are owed and why. Some come early, when the situation is still straightforward. Others arrive after a period of trying to resolve matters alone.
Regardless of where you are in that process, our first step is always the same: sit down, go through what you have, and explain clearly what we see. From there, we discuss what options exist and, if you would like us to, begin managing the matter on your behalf — at a pace that suits you and with transparency at every stage.
Mongkol Law is based at 309 Phaya Thai Road, Ratchathewi, Bangkok — a straightforward location to reach by both the BTS Skytrain and Phaya Thai Airport Rail Link. We are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 17:30, and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 13:00.
Come and See Us
